9 TheSouthShoreMagazine.com Also known as Holbrook Dental, Pearl Dental Associates moved from their Jewel Road location to North Franklin Street in Holbrook and opened another office on New Driftway in Scituate. It offers the most up-to-date procedures in a warm, family-oriented setting. Their office on North Franklin Street is completely brand-new. The old building was taken down to the studs so that it could be renovated and reinvented as a dental practice that is both state- of-the art and aesthetically pleasing. The clean, bright office is decorated with peaceful tones, and the staff immediately smiles and welcomes you when you walk in the doors. Pearl Dental Associates offers comprehensive dental care for people who need general, pediatric or cosmetic dentistry, as well as root canals, orthodontia and basic cleanings. Their services include: • Same day CEREC crowns and bridges • Implant placements and restorations • Emergency same-day appointments • Dentures • Six Month Smiles, Invisalign and ClearCorrect • Sleep apnea devices • Oral sedation • Many other preventative and wellness services Just six years ago, Pearl Dental Associates, as Holbrook Dental, had four treatment rooms and four employees. Now it has two offices, 11 treatment rooms and 26 employees. Much of this growth can be attributed to the vision and dedication of Dr. Teresa Salem. Dr. Salem's twin passions for cutting-edge technology and helping people feel good about themselves drive her every day. "Everyone deserves teeth," says Dr. Salem. "A nice smile changes lives." Dental wellness impacts how we feel about ourselves, affects our overall health, and helps us get jobs and build relationships. Knowing that not everyone is lucky enough to have access to dental care, Dr. Salem makes mission trips to the Dominican Republic where she places implants and performs surgery. Because of her extensive professional and charitable work, Dr. Salem was recently awarded Diplomate Status by the International Dental Implant Association. It is an elite award that few dentists receive. All of Pearl Dental Associates' doctors are top in their fields. Dr. Mary Feeney, friend and high school classmate of Dr. Salem, continues to practice at the Scituate office. She graduated from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine and loves caring for teeth, as well as her twins Avery and Will. Dr. Christopher Ward, a graduate from Boston University School of Dental Medicine, received his bachelors of science in biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Ward embarks on mission trips to Honduras every fall and has a passion for pediatrics. Dr. Robert Gallagher has been practicing for over 40 years and received his bachelors from Columbia University and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Chen Shi has a masters in biology from New York University and her dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco. An excellent oral surgeon, she is embarking on a mission trip where she will extract wisdom teeth for patients in need. Endodontist Pamela Regan received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine and Post Graduate Degree in Endodontics from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She specializes in root canals. The saying, "I'd rather have a root canal…" may have to go by the wayside, because Pearl Dental Associates has made them a lot less painful. Pearl Dental Associates has an on-site surgical unit and technologically advanced procedures that many other dental offices simply do not offer. Committed to helping patients' experiences be as comfortable and pain-free as possible, Pearl Dental Associates can perform PRP, in which a membrane is created from the patient's own blood and placed onto the surgical
