30 WMEX and WBMS also simulcast several of WATD's award-winning shows that have entertained and united the South Shore for decades. The South Shore's Morning News with Rob and Lisa, Weekdays 5am to 9:15am Let Rob Hakala and Lisa Azizian keep you company in the morning with news, traffic, weather and local entertainment. Hakala has been doing the popular show for 20 years, and Azizian joined him ten years ago. "Being able to tell stories is ultimately why we are here," says Azizian. "Whether it's an author, nonprofit or business owner who has something to say, we spread the word to our listeners." Rob and Lisa both grew up on the South Shore and enjoy preserving its history. "When you live locally and broadcast locally, it resonates with the listeners," says Hakala. "Our mission is to connect with the community, whether it's inperson, over the airwaves or by email. We love hearing from people." The Liz Raven Show, Weekdays 2pm to 6pm Liz Raven keeps people company on the afternoon drive with her show that includes traffic, news, music and interviews with famous artists, as well as with locals who are doing good things in the community. Liz has been in radio for 30 years and still hasn't lost the passion for it. "As soon as I could talk, I asked for my own radio. Growing up, I would make mix tapes and call the deejays. I got such a kick out of them playing my request and saying my name on air; I never thought it would be me on the other side one day. There is tremendous satisfaction in playing a song for someone that will turn their day around and lift their spirits." The Midday Show with Audrey Constant, Weekdays 10am to 2pm In addition to having her own show on 95.9 FM WATD, Audrey Constant also appears on Gary Leavitt and Friends on WMEX Sunday mornings from 6 to 8am. Her Midday Show plays music from the 60s through today, and features call-ins from listeners who want to make a request, give a shout out or talk about whatever is on their mind. After 32 years in radio, Constant still gets excited when she talks about how rewarding it is to make live connections with people over the airwaves. Almost Famous with John Shea, Tuesday nights 8-10pm Each week on Almost Famous, Shea features a local, independent band or musician for an interview and in-studio performance of original music on the WATD "Tiny Stage." Shea and his show have received several awards, including The Decade Award from the New England Music Awards for his dedication and commitment to the local music community. Shea has been able to keep lighting up the music scene even during the coronavirus lockdown by doing remote broadcasts. He says that he has received a record number of tracks from artists during the pandemic, as this trying time has sparked a lot of creativity. Shea is thrilled that the show has returned to the studio, and guests are once again performing on the Tiny Stage.
