36 With two offices and eleven treatment rooms, Pearl Dental Associates is a technologically advanced, multi-specialty dental practice. It offers comprehensive dental care for people who need general, pediatric or cosmetic dentistry, as well as root canals, orthodontia, emergency appointments, implant placements and restorations, CEREC crowns and bridges, and basic cleanings. Pearl Dental Associates also has an on-site surgical unit, a CT scanner and other leading equipment and procedures that many other dental offices simply do not offer. What also sets Pearl Dental apart from the rest is its exceptional dental team. For the dentists at Pearl Dental Associates, dentistry is not a job but a passion. Dr. Teresa Salem and her staff are committed to providing exceptional, personal care to its patients. Pearl Dental Associates is always on the forefront of cutting edge care and technology, and their response to the coronavirus pandemic has been no exception. In addition to using antiviral sanitizing cleansers on chairs, instruments and other tools, the practice has also invested in UV light devices to kill germs. This germicidal ultraviolet technology uses UV-C rays to disinfect surfaces and eliminate viruses and bacteria; it has been used in hospitals and surgical centers, and is now at Pearl Dental Associates. "People are wondering, is it safe to go to the dentist? The answer is, yes," says Dr. Salem. "Our profession as a whole is keeping people safe and healthy, and our practice has implemented meticulous protocol to ensure the protection of our patients and staff." Pearl Dental Associates' staff wears masks at all times, and treatment rooms are spaced out well beyond six feet. In addition to masks, all dentists, hygienists and assistants wear gowns, face shields, surgical caps and gloves. Time in the waiting room is minimized and patients must answer a COVID screening questionnaire before attending an appointment. Any staff member who doesn't feel well does not come to work unless they have had a negative COVID test. "Our A-game staff is dedicated to healthcare. We have added layers of protection for patients and ourselves," says Dr. Salem. During this pandemic, many people have had their routine medical exams fall by the wayside, including dental check-ups. Pearl Dental Associates is fully open to ensure you receive the best heath care. "Not only is it safe, but visiting the dentist is important for your health," says Dr. Salem. "Waiting isn't good.
