17 All of us at Black Rock Advertising want to express how thankful we are for all of our advertisers and readers. Your loyalty and support during this difficult year has uplifted our spirits and reminded us, again, of just how special our South Shore community is. We are lucky to live in this beautiful area, with residents and businesses who pull together when we need it most. A special thank you to doctors, nurses and first responders for their service during this unprecedented time. They all have contributed extensively to protecting our society during the COVID-19 pandemic. While many of us quarantined with our families, they couldn't. Instead, they sacrificed their time and safety, rising to the occasion even in the face of frightening uncertainty. South Shore Magazine would also like to give a special thanks to the restaurateurs, grocers and food and beverage workers for their tireless efforts. They adapted under stringent, difficult and ever-changing conditions in order to provide us all with our most vital necessities, and ensured our safety while doing so. All of these workers were asked to face an unknown and deadly pandemic every day, saving others' lives while putting their own at risk.
