We are thrilled about another season of featuring the local businesses that make up the fabric of our community. We are living in some very challenging times for everyone, but no one is feeling it more than our local businesses. Lack of help is a major issue, as well as larger expenses and scarcity of inventory and supplies. These inconveniences sometimes create frustration and a lack of understanding. Let's remember to be patient and kind to our local businesses—most of what they are enduring is beyond their control and they are doing their best with the resources that are available. Practicing patience and civility goes a long way. 100 years is a long time, and one cannot argue that it's not an impressive feat for a business or non-profit organization to stay in operation that long, through all the changes and challenges of the decades.
