22 Hardkore president and owner, Kevin Orcutt, knows that the championship culture in the Boston area is as unmatched as the wide sense of local pride. His passion for goal-oriented fitness and training is evident as soon as you walk into Hardkore Athletic Performance Center and see the state-of-the-art equipment around his cutting-edge Rockland facility. From age three, all the way to your senior years, your fitness, training and agility needs and capabilities constantly evolve. When Orcutt first set out to design the Performance Center, he knew it was critical that the handpicked equipment be suitable for this wide spectrum of needs. With a variety of options for targeted training in combat fitness, speed and agility, lacrosse and even functional movement for seniors, the Performance Center is equipped to help clients with varying needs so that they can achieve their fitness goals. MAXIMIZING POTENTIAL With new general athletic, movement-based programs, children may begin focused training at as young as age three, setting them up with healthy fitness habits early in life. These programs utilize the Performance Center's indoor and outdoor spaces, keeping children moving, building confidence and establishing healthy goals. For young adults ages twelve-to-fifteen, Hardkore now offers functional training with "The Edge," a six-week program which aims to help athletes physically prepare for sports, maximizing their potential and minimizing injury risks. These classes focus on learning or relearning the basics to enhance mechanics and technique, and center around the traits, limitations and goals of each student. The Edge program also has classes for high school ages, utilizing the same fundamentals but tailored to the needs of the next age level. There is also linear, lateral and multidirectional speed training available. Hardkore offers the cutting-edge Keiser ® line of equipment used by the military for special forces training, and these classes focus on strength, agility, movement and flexibility. NEW AT HARDKORE The gym is constantly expanding and evolving, and by adding the Keiser ® line of velocity-based equipment, there are a wide variety of new training options available, not only for young adults, but also for adults and seniors. The Keiser ® technology is air compression based, allowing a change in weight from just half a pound to up to 700 pounds with the push of a button, dramatically maximizing efficiency while offering a wider range of parameters for elite training and rehabilitation, much like the programs used by the military.
