Residents participate in daily activities like painting, cooking and practicing foreign languages. In the Performance Center, they enjoy movies in a theater setting, as well as presentations and ballroom dancing classes. Residents may even have their nails done or hair cut in the on-site salon and barber shop. Some residents take off-site trips to points of interest all around the area, while others enjoy the calm and spa-like atmosphere of the Rejuvenation Center where they can revel in the serenity of aromatherapy, hand massages, gentle music and more. This style of programming helps expose the brain to new things, so that residents continue learning and exploring with consideration to the individual needs and abilities of each person. Your family will love spending time and creating new memories with loved ones at The Cordwainer. Guests may access the community's Resource Center which is filled with the latest memory care information. The common Living Rooms are complete with double-sided vapor fireplaces and comfortable furniture. They are also sure to provide games including the Tovertafel, an interactive light projector imported from the Netherlands that promotes social engagement through a collection of multiplayer activities specially designed for all ages—a favorite of visiting grandchildren! Visitors may even utilize the Family Suite to spend time together privately, cook and enjoy a meal or simply relax in an apartment-style setting.
