Every homeowner understands and appreciates the importance of a solid, secure roof
over his or her head. To us, a roof is what keeps the rain and snow out. But otherwise,
we tend to pay very little attention to what is up there, how long it has been there,
and what it is made of, especially when the sun is shining. To a craftsman like Mike
Lynch, however, a roof is much more than merely a way to protect a home and its
contents from the elements.
Lynch is president of Associate Roofing, Inc. of New England, which has been serving
the roofing needs of residential and commercial customers since 1932. He is a third-
generation roofer, proudly and passionately following in the footsteps – sometimes
literally – of both his father and grandfather. And his company has a relentless focus
on professional craftsmanship, quality and dependability in a world where those
traits can often be in short supply.
Mike himself has been in the business since he was a teenager. His brother, Paul,
