The endowment will provide a pool of monies that can be invested on a long-term basis, the proceeds of which could be used for a variety of purposes: • To purchase new technologies to help improve the quality of life for our Members (assistive technology) or to make it possible for RTR to serve more people more effectively. • For seed money to enable the organization to take advantage of opportunities in a nimble manner or to pilot new service models or interventions that help resolve important service gaps in the existing human services safety net system. • The ability to respond to emergency situations where a critical need has arisen for either Members or the organization, which needs to be addressed faster than could occur through either our contracts or MassHealth/ Medicaid. • To meet excessive costs associated with changes of governmental regulations that would otherwise divert resources from critical functions or services. • Finally, this fund could provide resources for improved personnel development and retention.
