CONWAY JACK 14 Written by Carol Conway Bulman, CEO, Jack Conway AFTER NEARLY 70 YEARS SERVING BUYERS AND SELLERS ACROSS MASSACHUSETTS, ONE THING HAS BECOME CLEAR: EVERY MARKET HAS A STORY. THE KEY IS KNOWING HOW TO READ IT. It's easy to focus on headlines. Interest rates, inventory levels, national forecasts and economic news often dominate the conversation. While those reports provide valuable perspective, they rarely capture what's happening in our own communities here on the South Shore. This summer, the local market is sending an encouraging message. Pending sales of single-family homes on the South Shore increased 31.4% compared to the same time last year, while the median sales price remained steady at $736,000. Homes also sold for an average of 101.6% of their original list price, reflecting continued buyer activity and the value buyers place on well-prepared homes. Those numbers provide valuable insight, but they don't tell the whole story. People continue to buy and sell homes for the reasons they always have: new opportunities, growing families, retirement, changing lifestyles and the excitement of a fresh beginning. Those life moments shape the market far more than any headline ever could.
