house & home house & home Discover Plymouth AutoFair Honda I sat down with Andy Crews, President of AutoFair, to discuss what separates AutoFair apart from other dealerships, and here is what he had to say. "AutoFair is all about our customers and their needs. All of us, from the service technicians to the sales managers, treat our customers like we would want our family members to be treated, with respect and kindness, not undue stress or pressure." If you think you will have to haggle, fight, argue over price, or get pressured to buy a car on the spot, well then you have been going to the wrong dealership. At AutoFair Honda of Plymouth, you will not find any of that here; in fact you will find the total opposite. There is no pressure; what you will find is a sales staff ready to make sure you drive away with the car you want and need. AutoFair: Driven to a higher standard! By Jen Nonenmacher So what sets AutoFair Honda of Plymouth apart? They treat the needs of each individual customer with the utmost respect. They know their customers have high expectations and as such are ready to take on the challenge of meeting and exceeding those standards. Furthermore, they recognize that their customers have options; they could purchase their car from another dealer, in another state, or even online. They are ready to surpass those needs when it comes time to purchase your next vehicle. 10 During my visit to AutoFair Honda of Plymouth, I took a tour of the dealership and I must say I was impressed! So many things going on, my head was spinning. The parts and service departments include a drive-thru climate controlled service bay to keep their customers warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They even have a safe area for the children to play, complimentary shuttle service, Wi-Fi access, and complimentary coffee. Their service staff includes six Master Technicians who use the latest technology to optimize each cars performance and ensure safety. AutoFair Honda of Plymouth is also not your typical dealership. Their pre-owned cars are part of the AutoFair Certified PreOwned Program which offers buyers value and peace of mind. The program includes a 3 year/100,000 mile warranty, 125-point quality assurance inspection and 24-hour roadside assistance. No car is sold if it doesn't pass inspection; customer safety is of the utmost importance. SPRING To ensure their customers are protected, they have travel breakdown protection and rental car coverage all as part of the warranty offered on every pre-owned car! Part of what AutoFair Honda of Plymouth offers is convenience. "The lives of our customers cannot be put on hold because their 'check engine' light came on, or they need an oil change." Andy continues, "If we need to drop a customer off at work so they are not late, or stop by the hockey arena so the kids can make the game, we will do that, we will even make a pit stop at Dunkin Donuts, if necessary!" The team at AutoFair Honda of Plymouth recognizes that customer satisfaction is crucial to success; their services go beyond the car sale. The experienced sales staff is eager to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with their customers. You can test drive every car until you find the perfect one, with no pressure. Once you've picked your car, the sales staff and finance specialist will work with you to get you the best price and a monthly payment that works for your budget. It just amazed me how much they do and how important their customers are to them. They are different than other dealers because they do care and want to ensure every need their ~2013 11 ! Ride On it's a mans world I t ' s N o t Yo u r Forefathers' Plymouth By Suzette Martinez Standring Photography by Mindi Sokoloski Today, motorcycle riding is a family sport, attracting more female enthusiasts and younger riders. Whether it's about cruising down to the Cape or motocross racing, the folks at Pilgrim Power Sports live and breathe motorcycles. Each staff member is active in motocross, road racing, GNCC and J-Day Series racing. Located at 74 Camelot Drive in Plymouth, the Kawasaki dealership sells motorcycles, ATV's, UTV's, Jet Skis®, parts, accessories, and clothing. by Maryellen Dever If the Pilgrims were to see Plymouth today, they wouldn't recognize it at first. The streetscapes have changed dramatically since their time, with cars replacing feet as the major mode of transportation, money replacing barter as the currency for business transactions. What the first settlers would recognize, though, is that Plymouth is still a vibrant hub of local business activity. Pilgrim Power Sports Service and repairs are offered on all makes and models of motorcycles, and Pilgrim Power Sports is the largest dealership on the South Shore. Owner Paul Grimes, 46, recalled his first dirt bike, a 1975 Kawasaki KV 75, from when he was ten years old. He graduated to more powerful machines as an adult road racer. His personal collection includes a variety of Kawasaki motorcycles, a brand he favors because of low maintenance, technological advances, and affordability. He said, "Kawasaki is always striving to get better. They stay one step ahead of the competition. For Japanese manufacturers, Kawasaki has the second largest market share next to Honda." The dream of owning a motorcycle dealership came true in 2010 when Grimes bought Pilgrim Power Sports, a four-year-old company. The new president transformed the company with enthusiasm, experienced staff, and customer service. "The previous owners didn't even own motorcycles! We're all motorcycle enthusiasts here and we do it for love. I know Motorcycling creates friendships and family bonding time. During the summer, enthusiasts can enjoy mini-rides that begin at Pilgrim Power Sports. They cruise along Long Pond Road to the Sagamore Bridge Circle and back, or there are longer rides through Cape Cod. Grimes and his wife, Allison, bring their three kids to motorcycle races and events. Their 14-year-old son Justin will be racing in an ATV competition. Riding instills confidence and owner Grimes said, "Getting good grades and doing well in school is a great motivator for kids who want to race on the weekend. Not every kid is interested in ball sports, but they might love motor sports. This place is a Norman Rockwell painting for bikers." Pilgrim Power Sports has fitted bikes to kids as young as four. There are a range of Kawasaki bikes – 110CC to 140CC – for ages five through fifteen. Many women and novice riders like the Ninja® 300, a new sport bike, which offers a better fit and the feel of a super bike without the frightening aspect of too much power. The dealership is affiliated with Training Wheels, which offers courses to get licensed for riding street bikes. "The collaboration here makes sure anyone, especially kids, are on the right bike, properly fitted with the right gear, and getting the right instruction. You are a lot less likely to get hurt because 26 Take a stroll down Court and Main Streets, and the mix of activity is pure America. There are shops, bakeries, restaurants, pubs, and museums. It's the perfect picturesque location for lunch, dinner, cocktails after work, a leisurely Sunday meal or for your next function. The panoramic views of the ocean are almost as breathtaking as the fare at The East Bay Grille—and so combined, the perfect atmosphere has been captured. Located at 173 Water Street on Plymouth's Town Wharf, The East Bay Grille has a casual, relaxed and nautical feel. The property in and of itself is very unique and spacious with tons of room for guests both indoors and out. Every seat in the large dining room has a view of the water and the equally impressive lounge and bar area overlook the harbor as well. Outside, you will find a beautiful bar and patio area off of the back lawn as well as a platform deck that is open to all guests when functions are not being held. Additionally, this spring a new outdoor lounge will be installed off of the patio and adjacent to the outdoor bar. The menu at The East Bay Grille boasts a huge selection of traditional—and some not-so-traditional—New England fare and meals are made with the freshest seasonal ingredients available. Menu items such as clam chowder, calamari, ahi tuna and mussels appetizers, grilled salmon salad and the lobster roll are staple favorites at this restaurant. Delicious lunch entrees such as the Seafood Risotto, a generous portion of sautéed sea scallops, shrimp and lobster tossed in a lobster broth, served over saffron risotto and garnished with spinach and the Lobster Salad Roll, sweet chunks of lobster lightly seasoned and served with coleslaw and a choice of house fried or pasts salad will make your mouth water. 38
