38 One bright, sunny Sunday afternoon in early June, hungry people crowded around the menu posted on the front window of Jenna's Drive-In in Weymouth, trying to decide what to order. Happy diners, halfway through their meals, shout suggestions: "Try the wings!" "Try the burger!" and "Try the tots!" (More on those tots later). Nothing says summer quite like a drive-up ice cream stand. If you can get something good to eat there too, it's even better. The newest owner of the familiar stand at 259 Park Avenue in South Weymouth, just a stone's throw away from both the Derby Street Shoppes and South Shore Hospital, has given this concept her own unique twist. Braised short rib tacos at a drive up food stand? You can't make this up! Not only did owner Jenna Perette make this delectable dish up, she serves it regularly too! Savor the braised short ribs, pickled onions, match stick potatoes, scallions, and sour cream drizzle, layered in a soft taco shell…if you're lucky enough to catch it on special! If you prefer fish, try the mahi-mahi taco, layered with napa cabbage slaw, cilantro, mango, and key lime sriracha crema in a soft taco shell. Other special menu items this summer include the fried shrimp tacos, served similar to the mahi-mahi tacos, Korean beef burritos, vegetarian spring rolls with sweet Thai chili sauce, chicken salad wraps, and fish cakes with baked beans and red pepper aioli. Along with the specials, there are plenty mouth-watering regular menu items to try. Choose from chicken wings and tenders seasoned with different choices of rubs and barbecue sauces created right at the restaurant. Try the variety of salads, sandwiches and presses. The meat in Jenna's sandwiches is all smoked and roasted in-house, the cheese is sliced daily, and the fresh breads are delivered daily by Fire King in Hingham. Have the 100% 80/20 Black Angus ¼ lb. burger topped your way, single or double, grilled on the flat-top. Other grilled specialties include the Coney Island Hot Dog, famous
