19 When the principal of Hingham High School and representatives from the Class of 1984 Reunion Committee approached Mark Invernizzi asking him to donate a memorial tree, his response was immediate: "I'll do you one better." Invernizzi, who owns Mark Invernizzi Landscaping out of Whitman, designed and donated a stunning granite bench inscribed with the words "A Gift From The Class of 1984 In Memory of Those We Have Lost." At the foot of the bench is a granite compass, and the entire memorial, right at the entrance to the school, is surrounded by beautiful plantings, which Invernizzi has pledged to maintain for life. The 20-year business owner is so strongly connected to the community and his clients that he says he feels this was a great opportunity to "pay it forward" and to remind the current Hingham High School students to do the same. This "pay it forward" attitude has become a cornerstone of Invernizzi's business. The company sponsors dozens of local sports teams, including those of Invernizzi's daughter, Alyssa, and son, Anthony, as well as many local charities. And Mark is always striving to "do you one better." The most recent example came in the first weekend in March when, after working with a client who has Multiple Sclerosis, Invernizzi not only sponsored a team to compete in the John Hancock Climb to the Top fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, he competed himself and climbed all sixty-one flights of stairs in just shy of thirteen minutes. When it comes to the work itself, Invernizzi demands that his employees are always professional, are on time and completing jobs in a timely manner, clean up properly on site after every job, and are held to the highest standard of workmanship. Invernizzi does not only want to be your landscaping solution, he says, "I want customers to feel like they're calling a member of the family." As a complete one-stop shop for property needs, Invernizzi and his employees have become very much like family to many clients over the years. In the winter, the team is out clearing roofs, sanding walkways, plowing driveways, shoveling paths to propane tanks and bird feeders, and removing snow from properties. When the weather begins to clear, they begin property maintenance and clean ups in preparation for the planting, mowing, sod placement, irrigation, tree planting, bark mulching, flag pole installation, pruning, full landscape maintenance services, and landscape design and construction. The design and construction includes everything from swimming pools to fire pits and anything you can imagine in between. Brand new for 2015, in addition to this wide selection of services, Invernizzi has teamed up with Palaza & McDonough Tree Service of Whitman. This allows the company to expand its range even further to include a full menu of tree services including full tree removal, crane service, and stump grinding. Mark is available 24 hours a day, in every season and for any reason, so there is no job too big or too small for Mark Invernizzi Landscaping to take care of for you!
