24 A life filled with ups and downs that comes with being able to truly be a productive member of the community in which they live. The individuals we support have an intellectual or developmental disability, and this drives us to tirelessly work with them to reach their goals. These goals are taken seriously by all of the more than 700 employees who serve over 1,000 individuals in the South Shore Area. Each and every day, we are working together to make sure that our Residential, Day Habilitation and Employment services are growing to meet the needs of those who we support. WE HOPE YOU FIND YOUR HOME A home is a place to feel comfortable and relaxed, while having a safe place to be yourself and feel like a part of a family. We are proud that our residential homes provide a variety of personalized support options that help each individual feel like they are part of a family. Each is designed around the needs and interests of the individuals residing in the program. Every resident has a person-centered plan that is developed around all of his/her needs. This plan is constantly updated and worked on to make sure that everyone gets to truly feel like the house is their home. We make sure that our homes are built to suit the ever-changing needs of our residents. If you were to take a tour, you would notice that each one has multiple living rooms to accommodate family visits, and that the houses are decorated to the liking of the residents. These are just a couple of the things that are built into the home to meet the ever-changing needs of the individuals in the house. This growth is simply not achieved without the generous donors that help us do the work we do. WE HOPE YOU MEET YOUR GOALS Our Day Habilitation programs provide for the intellectual and development (I/DD) disabled in a small, intimate group setting. Each group is tailored to meet the ever-changing, complex needs of the individuals that attend these programs. Every individual in the program is working on personal goals, as well as working with others throughout their program. The use of technology, such as smart boards, laptops and touch screen tablets have helped advance learning and increase communication throughout the network of Day Habs. The experienced staff also provides a fun, stable atmosphere, where these adults can learn and grow in a comfortable setting. by Rob Lever At Road To Responsibility, It Is Our Hope Every Day That The Population We Serve Gets To Live A Life Of Their Own Choosing.
