32 Montilio's Baking Company has been a premiere bakery for over 70 years. Its pizza, baked goods, wedding cakes, pies, and all-occasion cakes are second to none. In addition to their four retail stores in Braintree, Weymouth, Quincy and Brockton, you can get Montilio's delivered to your event. Their pizza oven set atop an antique wagon is a mobile restaurant at-your-service, and their "Italian Pastries on the Go" truck brings baked goods, espresso and iced coffee to your occasion. Both have been a huge hit, making appearances at events as small as backyard parties and as large as the Marshfield Fair. Montilio's not only offers their own delicious items, but also keeps great local brands available to the public. In 2016, Montilio's bought the Jordan Marsh Baking Co. Those coveted blueberry muffins still exist and can be found right here on the South Shore at Montilio's! You will also find Jordan Marsh's famous lemon squares, almond macaroons and blueberry muffin cakes. Locals were devastated when O'Brien's Bakery and Cafe of Quincy recently closed its doors. O'Brien's authentic Swedish and Irish baked goods were a beloved staple in this area. Thanks to the collaboration of O'Brien's and Montilio's, they still are. Your local Montilio's proudly serves their Irish bread, scones and old-fashioned hermits, as well as their Swedish Limp A Rye bread, almond tarts, and cardamom braids. Don't forget about O'Brien's unbelievable lemon rounds, homemade oreo cookies, and 20 varieties of breads - Montilio's offers those, too. Keeping tradition alive is something Montilio's knows well. Owner George Montilio's grandfather opened the first shop in Quincy in 1947. To this day, Montilio's makes their food the old-fashioned way, ensuring excellent taste and quality. Their modern ingenuity, which can be seen in their innovative food trucks and sky's-the-limit wedding cakes, also keeps this company on-trend and in-demand. Montilio's is still a family-run business. With so many products, stores and services, the Montilios are extremely busy. Yet they have all the time in the world for their customers. When you go there, you're treated like part of the family. "We treat each customer like they're our only customer," says Elissa Montilio. Elissa is a fourth- generation family member who heads up the most prestigious Montilio's department: the wedding and novelty cake business. She communicates with her brides constantly, staying up on trends and keeping them in the know. Before running the wedding department, Elissa was in charge of all four retail stores. Montilio's excellence has stood the test of time. It has a long, sweet history, which includes creating John F. Kennedy's wedding cake, and also his inaugural ball cake. Montilio's has also made cakes for Jimmy Durante, Liberace, and Luciano Pavarotti. George's favorite cake, however, is the wedding cake he made for his daughter Jenna. The cake was so exquisite that it was featured in Boston Magazine. Montilio's has earned their excellent reputation with hard work, attention to detail, unparalleled customer service, and delicious products. Head to Montilio's and enjoy their fresh homemade goods, as well as your other favorite local baked brands. At your service, Montilio's is open 365 days a year. Special orders are welcome. George has such a creative eye that your dream can quickly become a reality! Montilio's Baking Company: A Family Tradition by Erica Ford Sweeney
