38 As a regular reader of this column, you are well aware of the many events and tastings that take place every week at Marsh's Wine and Spirits in Norwell. You never know what or whom you are going to have the pleasure of tasting or meeting at a Marsh's event. On a recent Saturday before the holidays, my wife Mary Ann, son Kevin and I stopped in to Marsh's. We were greeted by Stephen Marsh upon entering the store, Stephen was excited to have former New England Patriots player Matt Light in the store promoting his product: KEEL VODKA. Matt wasn't just an athlete putting his name to a product as an endorsement. Keel Vodka is a product that he helped develop. His knowledge and passion showed through as he talked about the virtues of Keel Vodka. One of the most interesting aspects about this product is its calorie count. Vodka has always been the spirit for those who are counting calories and watching their weight. The bottle states: "Premium Light Spirit"(pardon the pun) with zero carbs, zero fat, zero protein and only 58 calories. While these stats are important, more important is how it tastes. Smooth, clean and no burn. A great product and a great guy." As a sailor I really like the logo, the name and the tag line "stay balanced." A keel is the boat's component that creates balance and stability through the water. THE KEEL STORY KEEL Vodka is the bold representation of an idea whose time has come. In a world that seemingly has far too much of everything, KEEL is a distilled spirit crafted to embody the notion that less is more. A spirit that speaks not only to the sea, but to the mountains, the trails, the sidewalks and cafes. a standout in the crowded vodka category by Stanley Blackmur
