48 W hen you walk through the doors at Johnny Kono's Bar & Grill or to the walk-up window and Jenna's Drive In, located mere yards apart on Park Ave. in South Weymouth, you are guaranteed to find fresh food prepared by a great crew. If you are in the mood for an ice cold beer – served at a chilling 32 degrees - and fresh Mahi Mahi tacos or Korean beef burritos, then I strongly encourage you to walk in to Johnny Kono's to check out the "Five-star dive bar," according to owner, John Perette. If you are in the mood for Bacon and Cheddar Tater Tots (which I can personally assure you are fantastic) or some fresh seafood or fantastic ice cream, then you must check out Jenna's Drive In, open seasonally from April into October. After meeting this father-daughter ownership tandem, I can promise you that serving only fresh, quality food is key with both. Perette and his daughter, Jenna, have years in the restaurant business. While Jenna's Drive In is close to completing its third year of business, Johnny Kono's Bar & Grill opened this past by Rob Kelley, photography by Susan Hagstrom Johnny Kono's Bar & Grill and Jenna's Drive In: The Perettes Are Taking Over Park Ave The Perettes Are Taking Over Park Ave
