21 TheSouthShoreMagazine.com career that offers excellent personal growth, we encourage you to come and apply to be on our team. Just like Gaudette, many members work hard every day to help those we support. This work has helped many individuals continue to grow. A prime example of this growth is Chris, a resident of one of our 47 homes located throughout the area. If you were to have a conversation with Chris, you would see right off the bat that he is a very passionate person. Chris has a passion for the weather, and does the local weather report on Marshfield Community TV. In fact, you cannot have a conversation with Chris without first getting the latest weather report. "Chris's Weather Report" is a weekly program that showcases his enthusiasm for the weather. Earlier this year, NECN Meteorologist Michael Page joined Chris for an episode, where they both gave the weather report together. Chris's roommates at his house still say that he is smiling from ear to ear because of that opportunity. Chris is also an avid participant on our Special Olympics Team and We Love to Fish program. Chris would never have been able to interview Michael had Michael not shown an interest in volunteering and community engagement. The cause of the fire still has yet to be determined, but we can say that we are very overwhelmed with the response of the surrounding community. Friends of RTR joined forces with new friends and have worked together to help us recover. Many have stopped by our administrative offices in Marshfield to assist by donating to help replace the vans. Two local fundraisers were also organized. These events were standing room only, with everyone eager to help. The community support is being felt throughout the RTR network by staff and participants alike. Members of the community often introduce themselves and offer their help. We cannot thank everyone enough for helping us overcome this difficult time. Just like spring overcoming winter, we have shown that we can grow from this tragedy. We will always remember the overwhelming support that everyone has provided. RTR has received an incredible amount of support from the
